STEP 1: REGISTER TO VOTE

To vote you must be: A resident of Virginia, a U. S. Citizen, 18 years old by November 5, 2019, not currently declared mentally incompetent by a court of law, and if convicted of a felony, your right to vote must have been restored

Deadline to register to vote in the June primaries: Monday, May 20

Voters should vote in primaries to decide who will represent their party in the General election in November. General elections are where voters must decide between the two parties who will represent the office - Democrat or Republican.
